• Chowders – Located at San Fran’s famous Pier 39, Chowders is best known for its chowder in a bread bowl and fish and chips.  The prime location and affordable pricing attracts a tourist crowd, as do the dozens of sea lions lounging nearby.
• Basa Seafood Express – Located on 24th Street (southwest of the Bay Bridge) Basa is well known for their chowder, oyster sandwich, and fish tacos.  The prices are also quite tasty.
• Fisherman’s Wharf Sidewalk Stands – Obviously, no seafood hunt in San Francisco is complete without hitting up Fisherman’s Wharf.  And, when it comes to finding affordable San Francisco seafood, your options are practically limitless.  Each stand has its unique flavor of clam chowder, with a few even offering crab chowder, clam strips, etc.

3.  Camp Washington Chili – Camp Washington is unique with its retro decor and nostalgia, not to mention delicious coney dogs and double decker sandwiches.  With fast services and great prices, maybe it’s time you swing by Camp Washington on Colerain Avenue.

2.  Pleasant Ridge Chili – Most well known for their gravy chili cheese fries (no, seriously), PRC on Montgomery Road is a great place to stop by for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even after a night on the town.  Be prepared to wait, though, as PRC is crazy popular.

1.  Skyline Chili – The devotees of this franchise are rabidly loyal, and for good reason.  Known as the capitol of Cincinnati chili, Skyline restaurants are sprouting up all over Ohio.  Highlights on the menu include cheese coney dogs and the Three-Way, which consists of cheese, chili, and spaghetti.  Swing by the Ludlow Avenue location (just west of the zoo) if you want to tell your friends you ate at the oldest Skyline Chili still in existence.
